The Feminine Touch

Remember when you were a little girl, (For some of us we may have to think long and hard!) there was a little saying: "Little girls are made of sugar and spice and every thing nice".  This little saying prompted me to write a recipe.  I'm going to start from scratch and give you a recipe for one (1) Godly woman.

"1 Godly Woman"

1st Ingredient - 1 Saved God fearing husband and wife *
Proverbs 22:6.  * (due to supply and demand, saved grand parents may be substituted).

2nd Ingredient - 1 Fresh baby girl, the younger the better.
2 Timothy 3:15.  (You can never start this recipe too soon.)

3rd Ingredient - 1 King James Bible  * (The Word of God)
1 Timothy 4:2.  Add as much of this as needed until texture of heart is of a workable consistency.
* NO SUBSTITUTES!

4th Ingredient - Wisdom in large amounts.
James 1:5 and Titus 2:3-5.  Combine with love, caring and discipline.
(The local grocer may not carry this, so go to the aged woman and ask for some.)

5th Ingredient - Prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:17.  Sprinkle in daily for the rest of their lives.

6th Ingredient - 1 Good heaping measure of Salvation by Grace.
Ephesians 2:8-9.  Only needs to be added once.  (Don't be alarmed if the appearance changes, this is to be expected.  II Corinthians 5:17.)

7th Ingredient - 1 Bible Believing Baptist Church *
Hebrews 10:25.  * (I use only this brand, from experience I find it gives the best results.)

After adding church to the mixture you are ready to bake.
Make sure while it is baking you turn it at least three times to insure even baking. (Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday night.)  This is a good way to prevent an uneven Christian.  Ephesians 4:14-15.

8th Ingredient - Trials!
1 Peter 1:7.  Sometimes it takes a recipe a few times to get the ingredients just right.  Don't let this discourage you!

Keep trying until you get it right!   Adding an ingredient later may delay the finished product, but remember "with God all things are possible" - Matthew 19:26.

Now I want you to think about your life, Christian woman.  is the recipe you are following one you would want to give to someone?  Think about it.

Are you a burnt cookie,
or a fluffy, moist cupcake?

Point to Ponder!
How do you appear to others?  As a Christian whose life is appealing, or as someone who ruins their appetite for the things of God.

John 10:9

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out,  and find pasture."
